We are seeking to appoint a Vice Principal responsible for Inclusion. Are you ready to make a real impact on the lives of young people?
This role provides strategic leadership for inclusion, behaviour, attendance, and personal development, ensuring these areas align with whole-school improvement priorities. It involves developing policies that foster an inclusive and aspirational culture, overseeing behaviour and attendance systems, and supporting staff through training and coaching to maintain high standards.
The role champions provision for SEND and disadvantaged pupils, drives strategies to close attainment gaps, and ensures effective use of funding for maximum impact. Responsibilities include line management of key staff, safeguarding integration, and stakeholder engagement, while promoting a safe, respectful environment and positive relationships with families and external partners.
Your leadership will guarantee that every child excels, regardless of their starting point. You’ll champion ambition, unlock potential, and create an environment where students consistently exceed expectations. You will Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the school’s Behaviour for Learning policy to ensure consistency and high expectations.
This is the perfect role for an ambitious senior leader who wants to take their career to the next level. You’ll be relentless in driving an exceptional culture of inclusion and aspiration for all students. If you’re ready to lead with vision, inspire change, and transform outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.
The Long Eaton School is a vibrant place to work and learn. We expect everyone to be the best they can and are supported to achieve this through our values - respect, ambition, academic excellence and the importance of community. Our students are wonderful young people, keen to learn. Our staff are hardworking, professional individuals who are committed to the community we serve.
The togetherness of students and staff is what makes our school a special place to work. Relationships between staff and students are extremely strong. There is also a close knit and supportive staff team ethic.
Our school is part of The Archway Learning Trust which is an organisation serving Primary and Secondary Academies. As a group of schools we believe in the power of education to transform lives, and are committed to ensuring that all students excel academically, can positively contribute to their community, and are supported in their wider well‑being. These values influence every decision taken for staff, for students and our community.
Archway Trust, and Academies within the trust, demonstrate a strong commitment to staff CPD and staff wellbeing. If you join The Long Eaton School, you will be inducted, supported and developed in a deliberate way from before you even take up post.
Above everything we put young people first and seek to recruit adults who share this view. We work with students, parents and families to provide an experience that enables them to achieve as well as they can and prepare them for the next stages of their education and life. We insist on classrooms and corridors that are respectful, orderly places where everyone is expected to display positive and mature attitudes.
Applying for a new job is a huge investment of time and energy. We would encourage you to seek out any information you need to make the important decision to apply and we welcome visits to our school in advance of applications wherever this might be helpful.
The successful candidate will be committed to the students and school life and will possess the ability to communicate effectively and be able to raise the standards of learning for all of the students with whom they are required to work.
The growth and development of our Multi‑Academy Trust makes this an excellent opportunity to join us, as we seek to serve a growing number of young people across the region.
