RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for the Medical‑Surgical Unit I. The RN provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring ethical practice and patient safety.
Summary of Job FunctionThe Registered Nurse is responsible for ensuring safety in practice, reporting hazards, supervising team members, setting priorities, and utilizing evidence‑based practice to provide individualised care.
QualificationsRequired:
- ASN or Nursing Diploma
- One to two years’ experience within specialty
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
Certifications and Licenses:
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
- Valid N.J. State Driver’s License
Preferred:
- BA/BS/BSN Degree
- Completion of clinical experience in an NLN accredited school
- Screening Certification eligibility
- National Certification
- Day Shift, Per Diem
- Assure safety, maintain knowledge, and advance nursing practice through evidence‑based methods.
- Report hazardous environments and medical errors.
- Understand the patient population served.
- Delegate tasks and collaborate with team members.
- Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes.
- Apply the nursing process to individualise care plans.
