Job Overview

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for Monmouth Medical Center. The RN provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act, ensures ethical standards per ANA code of ethics, maintains patient safety, applies evidence‑based practice, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams.

Essential Functions

• Provide comprehensive nursing care and demonstrate safety in practice.
• Identify and report safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Understand and respond to the needs of the patient population served.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities, implementing interventions with measurable outcomes.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize care plans.

Qualifications – Required

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• 1–2 years of experience within specialty
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
• Valid N.J. State Driver’s License

Qualifications – Preferred

• BA/BS/BSN Degree
• Completion of clinical experience in a National League of Nursing accredited school
• Screening Certification eligibility
• National Certification

Schedule

• Night Shift, 36 hours per week
