- Assist patients with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help patients with ambulation and transfers, ensuring safety and mobility.
- Prepare and serve meals, considering dietary restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe home environment.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive and caring environment.
- Document patient care accurately and completely.
- Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Home Health Aide or related caregiving role.
- Valid New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification is required.
- Strong compassion, empathy, and genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families.
- Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
