Position

Purpose:

Build a cohesive Personal Training (PT) team, ensure they have a healthy pipeline of clients, and that those clients and other members receive exceptional fitness experience.

Responsibilities:

• Achieve sales targets month-over-month, driving membership growth and ensuring the team meets or exceeds set goals for new personal training agreements, client retention, and overall revenue generation.
• Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and establish a smooth transition into the club experience.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise staff members, including Personal Training Managers, Assistant Fitness Managers, and Personal Trainers.
• Manage the payroll process for Assistant Fitness Managers and personal trainers to ensure team members are paid correctly and in a timely manner.
• Effectively communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to departmental leaders and staff.
• Ensure all fitness staff have appropriate certifications and training such as CPR, First Aid, and personal trainer certifications.
• Provide constructive feedback to staff, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
• Ensure high-quality customer service by addressing member concerns, managing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
• Engage with members in a friendly manner, actively listening to their needs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement safety protocols.
• Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment and common areas.
• In emergencies, communicate calmly and clearly with staff and members, providing necessary instructions.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of management experience; fitness/personal training management is a plus.
• 3–4 years of customer service experience.
• Personal Training sales experience highly preferred.
• Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and effective time management.
• Excellent MS Office skills.

Requirements:

• Must successfully pass a background check.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Valid PT certification.
• Previous sales experience required.
• Ability to work in a gym setting and communicate with staff, members, and the public.
• Ability to use the company computer system for documents, data entry, and reports.
• Ability to routinely bend and lift more than 40 lbs.

Eligible For Additional Compensation (Inclusive Of):

• Variable income opportunities including commission and bonus.
• Post training increase.

California Pay Range: $68,640—$110,000 USD
