The rockets and satellites we build, and launch enable some of the most ambitious and vital space missions globally, supporting scientific exploration, Earth observation and missions to combat climate change, national security, and exciting new technology demonstrations.

Our Electron rocket has become the second most frequently launched U.S. rocket annually and has delivered more than 230 satellites to orbit, while we work to develop Neutron, our upcoming medium‑lift, reusable launch vehicle for larger constellation deployment. Our Space Systems business designs and builds an extensive line of satellites, payloads, and their components, including spacecraft selected to support NASA missions to the Moon and Mars and components used on the James Webb Space Telescope.

• Develop packages, services, and applications to support data processes.
• Develop and maintain company‑wide data systems.
• Maintain and continuously improve existing software and tooling.
• Develop well‑tested and documented software products.
• Collaborate on the review and approval process for merge requests.
• Develop and review software requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders.
• Demonstrate software to stakeholders.
• Deploy and support operational software.
• Train and support software product users.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent discipline with 0-2 years of experience.
• Experience with in a software engineering related discipline.
• Deploying services at scale.
• CI/CD and containerization.
• Common data analysis libraries/tools such as Pandas/Numpy, ETL pipelines, SQL.
• REST APIs and service development.
• Jira, Redmine, or other issue tracker.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent discipline with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with in a software engineering related discipline.
• Deploying services at scale.
• CI/CD and containerization.
• Common data analysis libraries/tools such as Pandas/Numpy, ETL pipelines, SQL.
• REST APIs and service development.
• Jira, Redmine, or other issue tracker.

• Data science and numerical analysis techniques
• Experience with agile development practices
• Database knowledge
• Web Application Development
• User Interface Development

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
• Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be physically able to commute to buildings.

Base Pay Range (CA Only)

$108,000 - $162,000 USD
