Under the direction of the Supervising Plumber, this position provides skilled plumbing work in installation, repair, and maintenance of university structures, minor construction and special projects.

• Maintain piping systems including water, gas, air, steam, vacuum, storm drains, waste lines, irrigation systems, and related traps and valves.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance requiring repair or replacement of plumbing parts or equipment when necessary.
• Test, certify, and repair backflow preventive devices.
• Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are on hand or available to the job to function efficiently and economically.
• Assist in all University functions and respond to emergency situations as required.

• Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
• CSU Classification Salary Range:
  The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5,998 (Step
  1) - $8,737 (Step 20) per month.
