Under the direction of the Supervising Plumber, this position provides skilled plumbing work in installation, repair, and maintenance of university structures, minor construction and special projects.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain piping systems including water, gas, air, steam, vacuum, storm drains, waste lines, irrigation systems, and related traps and valves.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance requiring repair or replacement of plumbing parts or equipment when necessary.
- Test, certify, and repair backflow preventive devices.
- Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are on hand or available to the job to function efficiently and economically.
- Assist in all University functions and respond to emergency situations as required.

Duration of AppointmentThis is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.

Compensation- Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
- CSU Classification Salary Range:
The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5,998 (Step
1) - $8,737 (Step 20) per month.
