Position Summary

Ecology Auto Parts Inc. is seeking an experienced Road Service Technician. The role requires a Class-C Driver’s License (CDL Class A highly preferred) with a clean record. The candidate will operate a medium-sized service truck to provide roadside maintenance and repair services for heavy‑duty diesel vehicles and equipment. The schedule is Monday‑Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Responsibilities
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance services.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
  • Operate a medium-sized service truck equipped with tools, parts, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and deliver timely resolution of breakdowns in the field.
  • Perform safety inspections and ensure all repairs meet regulatory standards.
  • Use vehicle computer diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for time, materials, and labor costs for repairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the service truck and at job sites.
  • Document completed repairs, parts used, and service times using fleet maintenance software.
  • Assist in shop‑based repairs or projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience in diesel mechanics or field service.
  • Valid Class-A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) highly preferred.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification or diploma in automotive or diesel technology preferred.
  • Proven experience diagnosing and repairing heavy‑duty diesel vehicles and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, compliance standards, and roadside repair procedures.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in remote, challenging environments.
  • Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Solution‑oriented mindset capable of performing permanent repairs when possible, or implementing effective temporary fixes to safely transport vehicles to a maintenance facility.
Physical Demands / Environmental Factors
  • Capable of performing physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successfully complete pre‑employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
  • Require physical effort handling tools, parts, and equipment during repairs.
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs, push, pull, and bend frequently.
  • Exposure to outdoor elements such as dirt, odors, noise, and varying weather conditions.
  • Requires motor coordination and finger dexterity for using tools, diagnostic equipment, and keyboarding.
Compensation

Competitive hourly rate: $25.00 to $40.00 per hour (DOE). Inclusive benefits: medical, dental, vision insurance; 401(k) plan with employer matching; generous paid time off; and life insurance coverage. Final compensation will reflect relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
