GSOC Operator - Long

AEGIS is looking to hire experienced security officers and honorably discharged veterans who can work either full-time or as part-time armed and/or unarmed officers. AEGIS is always hiring police officer, reserve officer, marines, air force, navy, army, coast guard, military.

• Use technology systems and applications, including commercially-available databases and social media platforms, to monitor security threats and operational risks to business continuity.
• Monitor a variety of systems, including badge access, computers, and CCTV to ensure the safety and security of Vast employees, facilities, and technology.
• Observe, document, and appropriately escalate any suspicious activity, security violations, or safety concerns.
• React promptly to security incidents, dispatching security personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Escalate security incidents to GSOC leadership when appropriate.
• Use mass notification systems to disseminate actionable information to company employees during emergency or crisis situations.
• Ensure all Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) protocols and procedures are followed according to company policies.
• Assess threats in real-time and ensure effective coordination, communication, and decision-making during heightened security situations.
• Assist with the research and creation of detailed intelligence briefs, security incident reports, and BOLOs when necessary.
• Prepare detailed threat assessments and travel advisories in support of company and executive travel.
• Assist company personnel with safety and security concerns impacting Vast facilities, properties, and equipment.
• Provide security assistance, CCTV monitoring, and risk analysis for special events and operational activities.
• Respond professionally to security-related inquiries, safety concerns, and emergency situations in accordance with company policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall security mission.
• two - four years of experience in high end security, military, or law enforcement
• Valid Guard Card issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services
• Comprehensive understanding of GSOC policies and procedures and industry best practices.
• Strong knowledge of technology tools and databases, CCTV, and incident response.
• 40 hours of BSIS training courses and most recent annual refresher
• A GED or High School Diploma / Transcript & Associates Degree or some verifiable college (preferred)
• Armed Officers must have California Guard Card (BSIS permit), Firearms Permit, Baton, and Chemical Agent.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

• Have a track record of being ON-TIME to work and having integrity in your work

• There is an immediate need for experienced unarmed security in Long Beach, CA
• We are currently hiring for a rotational schedule of the following times:
  • Night Shift, Wednesday - Sunday: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
  • Night Shift, Monday - Friday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
  • Swing Shifts Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Please note that you will be hired on as a regional employee, however feel free to express interest in one of the above available shifts when asked by the recruiter.
• Security Agents typically work as needed 12-50 hours a week throughout the county (including mandatory weekend nights) and are offered full time regular positions after probation.
• Unarmed pay for experienced guards starts at $26- $28/hr depending on experience, qualifications, and the assignment.
• Experienced Off Duty Officers, EP and Estate Agents are paid the industry standard
