Position Summary

The Agent Relations team is responsible for driving sales and membership growth through independent agents and agencies. This role focuses on recruiting agents to seminars, webinars, and special events, as well as cross-contracting eligible agents to specific carriers and product lines.

Primary Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with a growing network of Independent Agents and Agencies

Serve as a knowledgeable resource by delivering a structured onboarding experience, including contracting, certification, training, and ongoing support

Coordinate and organize formal and on-the-job training to ensure agents have a clear understanding of products, compliance requirements, and sales systems

Act as a liaison between agents and health plans throughout the sales lifecycle, including contracting, licensing and appointments, certification, enrollment administration, commission payments, and agent servicing

Ensure sales activities comply with CMS regulations; regularly review sales performance and provide constructive feedback to agents

Drive agent engagement and execution of sales initiatives while ensuring accurate representation of JSA’s product portfolio and services

Monitor and enforce adherence to sales and marketing compliance guidelines

Recruit senior market insurance agents through consistent outbound call campaigns

Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

Associate degree in business, insurance, or a related field (preferred)

Previous experience in agent relations, sales support, or customer service; insurance or healthcare industry experience strongly preferred

Working knowledge of Medicare products, regulations, and compliance requirements

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional, engaging demeanor

Strong problem-solving and critical‑thinking abilities, especially in fast‑paced environments

Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Proficiency with CRM systems and related tools for tracking agent interactions and maintaining accurate records

Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team

Willingness to travel occasionally to meet with agents and attend industry events
