** Position Overview**:

** Cashier
* * at the
** Aquarium of The Pacific**. This position is responsible for the overall accurate accounting of all transactions, including inventory management and cash handling.
** Duties and Responsibilities**:
* Maintains accurate accounting of all cash and inventory at the assigned concession stand.
* Performs location worker assignments.
* Stands for long periods of time.
* Maintains safe working conditions and sanitary work area for employees.
* Plans for daily sales flow based on projections.
* Plans for peak hour sales and makes change requirements known to the Food & Beverage Manager.
* Organizes paperwork including cashier physical inventory stand sheets, meal sheets, spoilage reports, and cash slips.
* Verifies the correct item prices according to the menu.
* Stocks and restocks products upon delivery to the location.
* Monitors proper recording of employees' meals and meal vouchers (if applicable).
* Maintains accurate cash handling procedures at all times.
* Follows all rules and regulations of Food and Beverage operations.
* Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
* Maintains a clean, safe working environment.
* Complies with transfer and requisition, cash handling, and purchasing policies and procedures.
* Must have a valid
** California Food Handler Card
** and
** RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) Certificate**.
* Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

** Education and Experience**:
* Must have basic working knowledge of cash registers and cash handling procedures.
* Must have sufficient math ability to accurately count and handle money.
* Must have basic working knowledge of concession/cafeteria operations.
* Must be able to follow directions and perform the work effectively.
* Must have a pleasant personality and neat appearance.
* Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and employees.
