Seeking a Board-Certified Part-Time Nurse Practitioner with experience in hands-on patient care. Applicant must possess all appropriate licensure and certification requirements with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be willing to work out of our Long Beach, CA office. Experience in Internal Medicine preferred.
Job Type: Part-time, Direct hire Pay:Starting at $70-80 per hour
Hours:
No more than 29 hours per week- flexible with the days
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic and acute adult illnesses.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work, X-rays, and EKGs.
- Prescribe medications and manage ongoing pharmaceutical care.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, chronic disease management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Conduct follow-up visits and ensure continuity of care.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR system.
- Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and state/federal regulations.
- 2 years' experience in a clinical setting as a Nurse Practitioner, required
- Nurse Practitioner License, required
- Experience in Internal Medicine, preferred
- DEA License
- Basic Life Support (BLS/ACLS)
