Research Nurse; Long

Healthy Brain Clinic in Long Beach is part of the Irvine Clinical Research site network, the largest of its kind on the West Coast. With 5 research centers in California, we are leaders in the search for new treatments in neurology, psychiatry, and obesity medicine. Our largest area of research is in Alzheimer’s Disease prevention and treatment drug trials, and our doctors were the largest contributors in the world to the most recently FDA‑approved medication in Alzheimer’s Disease.

The Research Nurse (RN or LVN+IV) will work with our team of clinicians on studies of investigational drugs that are infused into study participants.

• Administer study drug per protocol for several research trials, especially IV infusion studies in older adults
• Monitor post-dose participant safety per protocol
• Check vitals, perform EKGs, or perform blood draws as needed
• Produce attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original, accurate, and complete study data
• Perform study procedures in accordance with GCP and study protocols

• Valid California nursing license (RN). Alternatively, valid LVN + infusion therapy certifications are acceptable.
• Demonstrated skill in IV insertion, maintenance, and removal
• Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks with precision
• A command of professional spoken and written English

$40 - $45 an hour

This is a 4 or 5 day/week (Mon-Thu or Mon-Fri) employment position based in‑person at our clinic next to the Traffic Circle in Long Beach. It is in a medical building with ocean views, transit access, easy freeway access, and a large free parking lot.

The salary range for this position is $40-$45 per hour.
