Position: Structures Technician I, Second Shift

About

the Team

The Manufacturing team owns all process development, fabrication strategy, and production equipment for Terran R, our next generation, reusable rocket. The team ranges from factory floor layout to developing tooling for novel processes and interfacing with the vehicle engineering team to influence rocket design. We translate engineering requirements into optimized production lines, working cross-functionally to enhance the vehicle program.

About the Role
  • Responsible for drilling holes on flight hardware using appropriate tooling/jigs; working from wider tolerance bands to tighter tolerance bands
  • Responsible for assembling hardware using structural adhesives, properly torquing fasteners, or installing inserts
  • Perform in-process inspections using hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges
  • Perform blending or deburr operations using appropriate hand or power tools
  • Uphold Relativity Space safety and shop cleanliness standards
  • Foster an inclusive environment for all team members
About You
  • 1+ years of general fabrication or assembly experience or trade school degree
  • Proficient in the use of common hand tools and inspection tools
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office or team communication tools such as Slack (or equivalent)
Nice to Have (not required)
  • A&P certification
  • Experience in precision drilling
  • Previous aerospace experience
  • Experience reading drawings or blueprints
