Job SummaryUnder the guidance and supervision of the center Operations Manager, the Assistant Operations Manager (AOM) provides support, mentoring, and leadership to program participants, ensures the Work Therapy Unit (WTU) operates efficiently, provides daily assistance with logistics, production planning, and quality assurance, and maintains a safe and healthy work environment. The AOM also directly oversees daily activities in the Operations Manager’s absence.
EssentialJob Duties
- High School graduate or equivalent (Required)
- Minimum 2 years' verifiable work experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or production.
- Minimum one (1) year verifiable experience supervising volunteers, interns, employees, program participants (Preferred)
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies, including logistics, equipment, safety and purchasing (Preferred)
- Current valid driver's license, able to pass MVR report (Required)
- Ability to learn and operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Team Support - Assist the Operations Manager in building a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Problem Solving/Conflict Resolution - Identify & resolve problems and/or conflict in a timely manner.
- Dependability - Consistently follow instructions and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Adaptability - Remain flexible and effective in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Oral & Written Communication - Speak and write professionally, clearly, and persuasively in various situations; edit work for spelling and grammar.
- Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Due to the facility's nature, incumbent must be able to occasionally work outdoors and feel comfortable walking on potentially uneven surfaces.
