Role Description

We’re excited to announce that our team—and our HR department—is growing! We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our dynamic, mission-driven organization. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices who is ready to play a key role in helping our company grow.

In this position, you will provide hands-on leadership across core HR functions, including field employee onboarding, compliance, policy development, and employee relations. You will serve as a trusted resource for both leadership and field employees, helping to strengthen processes, ensure legal compliance, and support the continued development of our people and culture.

Responsibilities
  • Support and finalize the onboarding process for new field employees.
  • Assist with processing terminations and resignations for field employees.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, co-employees, and internal departments to ensure smooth HR operations.
  • Monitor and support compliance with employment regulations, payroll, paid sick leave, leaves of absence (CFRA/FMLA) and EDD claims.
Skills
  • 3- 5 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Degree related to HR or SHRM certification is preferred
  • Be familiar with California labor laws and related compliance standards.
  • Strong communication / customer service skills when working with employees.
  • Familiar with workplace software such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams
  • MUST be bilingual in Spanish and English

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation will be negotiated based on experience and alignment with role requirements.

Expected hours: 40 per week
