The Executive Kitchen Steward manages the stewarding function in all kitchen areas to promote overall cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with state and local health regulations. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as necessary to complete their responsibilities; for OEM associates, overtime applies and is calculated accordingly.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience in stewarding, kitchen maintenance, or kitchen operations, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service operations preferred.
• Certification requirements may include Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
• Familiarity with Aimbridge Hospitality policies, house rules, and hospitality terminology.
• Ability to acquire Food Manager Certification (as per state requirements).

Responsibilities:

• Approach all interactions with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Control and analyze costs associated with breakage and quality support for outlets, banquets, and other areas, including china, glass, and silverware. Assist the Executive Chef with culinary supplies.
• Monitor the condition and cleanliness of equipment and all kitchen areas.
• Recommend cleaning projects to the Outlets Manager.
• Participate in preparing the annual stewarding operating budget aligned with the Food & Beverage Department's goals.
• Educate associates on safety issues to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Inform management of hazardous situations, emergencies, or security threats.
• Manage stock levels, control par stocks of materials and equipment.
• Lead and supervise the Stewarding department, conduct performance evaluations.
• Ensure all stewarding staff perform their duties properly.
• Maintain high sanitation and cleanliness standards for all facilities and equipment.
• Handle procurement and storage of food, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Coordinate with engineering for preventive maintenance.
• Minimize costs by reducing breakage, loss, and chemical overuse.
• Ensure proper handling of chemicals.
• Participate in meetings and perform other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with food setup or dish-up.
• Maintain open communication with other departments.
• Participate in the property manager on duty program as assigned.
