Job Summary:
Under general direction, the Parking and Operations Fiscal Analyst is responsible for performing all fiscal accounting and analysis work for Parking and Operations, including Parking & Transportation Services, University Print Shop, Campus Copier Program, Property, Asset Management, and Receiving and Mail Services. The incumbent supports a $20 million budget, primarily from self-support funds, and performs granular accounting work, including reconciliation and validation of parking financial reports.
- Manage day‑to‑day operations for multiple funds, analyze and forecast financial information, and recommend plans to the Director to ensure sustainable long‑term financial plans and appropriate fee structures.
- Prepare and process journal entries for parking activities, including charge backs, in CFS while ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
- Review financial statements and perform reconciliation of parking department activities.
Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in MS Office and advanced computer skills (Excel, enterprise databases), and possesses strong written and verbal communication abilities. The candidate should understand general accounting principles, review financial documents for accuracy and compliance, analyze complex data, and generate insightful reports to support decision‑making. Experience working with diverse campus communities and adherence to university policies is required.
Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, public administration, or related field plus four years of relevant experience.

Five years of related finance experience. - Desired:
Governmental accounting experience.
- Sedentary work – mainly sitting; walking and standing are minimal; lifting light objects (≤10 lb).

CompensationSalary placement is determined by education, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and departmental resources.
Hiring Range$5,877 (Step 1) – $7,023 (Step 10) per month (commensurate with candidate qualifications).
Time Base1.0 time‑base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of AppointmentTemporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted; temporary assignments may expire prior to the end date.
