The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Managing costs; including tracking quantities and cost for production operations and materials.
• Managing subcontractors including scheduling, progress, and payments.
• Writing and managing RFIs and Submittals.
• Powerful verbal and written communication skills.
• An understanding of Contract documents and associated requirements for change orders, requests for compensation, and time extensions.
• Project schedules including 3 Week and 90 Day Look Ahead Schedules.
• Experience on bid-build unit price and lump sum projects with an understanding of the measurement and payment requirements.
• Support and maintain as built drawings.
• Coordination with project superintendents regarding schedule and resources including people, equipment, materials, subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
• Assures compliance with Company safety policies and OSHA safety standards.
• Multi-task and stay focused on the big picture while addressing daily issues.

Requirements:

• A degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management with relevant work experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• 5-10 years’ experience working on public works projects with both field and office responsibilities is required.
• Excellent communication skills are required. Ability to listen, engage, and influence is vital.
• Excel – Ability to navigate spreadsheets and utilize Excel as a tracking system required.
• A Driver’s License in good standing is required.

Preferences:

• Prior experience working in the greater Los Angeles County region is preferred.
• Those with water/wastewater experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
