As a Drainage Project Manager, you will play a key role in designing and managing the drainage elements of large‑scale highway and multimodal projects throughout Southern California.
- Plan and manage all aspects of drainage engineering on large‑scale highway and multimodal projects for public transportation clients.
- Establish client relations and participate in marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers.
- Lead the development of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling; stormwater collection systems modeling and design; and production of design calculations, technical reports and engineering plans for detention facilities, storm drains, flood control facilities and other hydraulic structures.
- Work independently and lead medium to large project teams of professionals and technicians to deliver project deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for project reviews and coordinate with company management as needed.
- Primarily design and document highway drainage, perform drainage analysis, BMP sizing, and stormwater management design & permitting for Caltrans, Metro, OCTA, SBCTA, municipal clients and agencies; also lead drainage design on railroad, aviation and maritime projects when opportunities arise.
- Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort with the team to ensure timely completion within agreed‑to parameters.
- License or certification in a related discipline.
- PMP certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 7 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
- Ability to interact with various design teams and strong organizational, project management and communication skills.

$123,000 – $183,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, education and location.
