Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually
Position Summary:
The BIM Support Specialist provides BIM support to architects across multiple studios nationwide. The role focuses on troubleshooting technical issues, training users and working with the BIM Director to develop and document company standards and content.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide daily BIM support to project teams across all offices, responding to BIM-related questions and software issues
- Support the BIM Director with firm-wide initiatives, standards development and technology implementation
- Create and maintain BIM content libraries
- Deliver training sessions on company workflows and standards
- Develop documentation on workflows and standards
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of project models at key milestones to ensure compliance with firm standards
- Research and evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies
- Implement and adhere to company policies per the Employee Manual
Measures of Performance:
BIM Support Specialist will be evaluated based on all of the items in this document as they apply to their specific role. The following items represent the primary performance benchmarks that the company will be measuring and the tools that will be used to provide input
- Understanding and implementation of company BIM standards and workflows
- Timely and effective resolution of technical support requests
- Quality and consistency of BIM content and documentation produced
Accountable to:
The BIM Support Specialist reports to the BIM Director
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience working with BIM (Revit/CAD) in an architectural environment
- Strong understanding of architectural documentation and design processes
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Autodesk Construction Cloud (Docs required; Build is a plus)
- Proficiency in Bluebeam
- Experience in maintaining company AutoCAD standards is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues while teaching users to resolve similar problems independently
- Strong communication skills and patience when working with users of all technical levels
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment when addressing support requests
- Experience experimenting with AI tools and finding practical applications for them
Location & Work Arrangement:
This position can be fully remote; however, preference will be given to candidates in the Long Beach, California area. The ideal arrangement includes an initial period working on-site in the Long Beach office five days per week alongside the BIM Director, with a transition to a minimum of three days in the office as the role develops
