About the PositionLong Beach City College is a Hispanic-serving institution committed to equitable student learning and workforce development. The role may be assigned to the Liberal Arts, Trade, Tech and Community Learning campuses, and can involve day, evening, weekend, online, or off‑campus teaching.
It is a part‑time, as‑needed position with no tenure rights, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to support adult learners in achieving educational goals.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in the discipline.
- Associate degree and six years of experience in the discipline.
- Valid credential to teach in the discipline.
- Equivalent qualification based on experience and education.
- Master's degree in exercise science related discipline (e.g., Kinesiology, Physical Education, Exercise Sciences) plus two years of college‑level coaching experience.
- Long Beach Community College District application.
- Current resume.
- All graduate and undergraduate transcripts, showing school name, all college coursework, degree title and conferral date. Include AA/AAs, BA/BS, MA/MS, Ph.D., or equivalent degrees and courses used for transfer credit. Transcripts may be official or unofficial and must be submitted as an attachment. Conferral dates must be on or before the Final date to receive applications to meet minimum qualifications.
- Transcripts from countries outside the United States must be evaluated by an agency that is a member of NACES and/or AICE.
- Applicants who do not meet statewide minimum qualifications verbatim must submit a Supplemental Equivalency Application.
