Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Operations Manager of Parking & Transportation Services, the incumbent facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of sustainable transportation programs. This includes marketing programs to help increase the use of Sustainable Transportation on campus. Incumbent also participates in campus-wide sustainability efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • With general direction from the Operations Manager, facilitate oversight of campus sustainable transportation initiatives/activities.
  • Researches and analyzes current and potential future programs in an effort to maintain feasibility. Develops written plans for consideration by university executive management and stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong abilities in establishing and maintaining program offerings, while effectively organizing and presenting program information or research in formats that are easily understood by campus constituents. They will proactively develop written outreach materials and market campus programs, with a preferred understanding of sustainability laws, rules, and regulations. This individual should be skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting data and financial reports to recommend changes or assess potential impacts on Sustainable Transportation Systems and Services, as well as reviewing financial documents for accuracy and compliance.

The candidate must be capable of responding to inquiries from regulatory agencies or community members, presenting information to top management, and delivering public speaking engagements supported by clear written materials. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe Pro, and database systems. Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.

Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Education and Experience
  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience of Program Administration preferred.
Physical Summary
  • Light work – includes some lifting of medium weight objects (10-20 pounds) and/or 10% - 20% of the job involves standing or walking.

Compensation and Salary

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.

Hiring Range: $5,157 (Step
1) - $7,513 (Step 20) per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,157 (Step
1) - $5,583 (Step
5) per month.

Duration of Appointment

This is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
