Neonatology Physician

We are seekinga Board-Certified Neonatology Physician to provide high-quality inpatient carein a busy NICU in Long Beach, California. This locum tenens role offers flexible in-house shift coverage with weekday and weekend options, allowing providers to balance clinical practice with personal commitments. The ideal candidate will have recent clinical experience and be comfortable managing afull range of neonatal cases.

• Night Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 9:00 AM
• 24-Hour Shift: Monday-Friday, combining day and night coverage

• Friday 3:00 PM - Saturday 9:00 AM
• Saturday 9:00 AM - Sunday 9:00 AM
• Sunday 9:00 AM - Monday 9:00 AM
• Coverage: In-house NICU care

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care for critically ill and high-risk newborns
• Participate in daily rounds, bedside procedures, and NICU patient management
• Collaborate with neonatology team, nursing staff, and other specialists to ensure high-quality care
• Respond promptly to neonatal emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
• Accurately document patient care in the hospital EMR
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of neonatal best practices and evidence-based care

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Neonatology ( Board Eligible not accepted )
• Active California medical license
• Recent NICU clinical experience within the past 12 months
