Inside Sales

Description

• Sell company products and services to customers by processing orders, price and delivery inquiries, providing technical and application information, soliciting customer orders and suggesting additional products in a fast multi-tasking environment.
• Maintains responsibility of orders from quote to invoice.
• Select and specify a variety of products utilizing a variety of vendors.
• Process customers’ orders and send requested order acknowledgements.
• Review customer purchase orders for special conditions/documentations.
• Check availability and verify ship date.
• Increase order size by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer’s buying history.
• Process and expedite orders, customer returns and returns to vendors in an accurate and timely manner.
• Works closely with outside salesman in soliciting business, executing order transactions and maintaining superior customer service levels.
• Locate product and ensure timely delivery, works closely with buyers.
• Ability to communicate with vendors and monitor orders placed.
• Communicates effectively and participates positively as a member of the inside sales team.
• Review open customer order report and take action on open items in a timely manner; specifically, those items that may at risk in not meeting the customer’s promised delivery date.
• Work with and manage customer needs over virtual chats.
• Willingness to be flexible, including working overtime, and performing responsibilities not specifically identified in the job description and assuming new responsibilities for the betterment of Austin Hose.

• Associate degree in related field preferred
• 1-3+ years’ experience in Customer Service and Inside Sales preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with Austin Hose warehouse and delivery methods, techniques, and procedures.
• Microsoft Team experience preferred
• Strong verbal, written, mathematical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship with customers, co-workers, supervisors, management and various personnel.
• Must be able to pass random drug test.
