Vast is seeking a Business & Supply Chain Intern to support daily supply chain operations and business planning activities across the organization. This internship offers hands‑on experience in demand planning, supply chain analytics, and cross‑functional business operations within a fast‑paced aerospace environment. Interns will work closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams on real projects that directly impact program execution.

12-week full‑time internship at our office in Long Beach, CA

• Support daily supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics coordination, inventory management, and demand planning activities.
• Assist with demand forecasting, material requirements planning (MRP), and supply‑demand balancing to support production and build schedules.
• Help maintain and analyze demand signals, Bill of Material changes, lead times, propose safety stock values, and inventory levels across programs.
• Compile, analyze, and visualize supply chain and business data to support operational and planning decisions.
• Support cross‑functional initiatives to improve forecast accuracy, material availability, and overall supply chain performance.
• Assist with documentation of supply chain processes, KPIs, assumptions, and planning methodologies.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on data accuracy, workflow efficiency, and scalability.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Ability to work full‑time onsite in Long Beach, CA.

• Prior internship, project, or coursework experience in supply chain, demand planning, business operations, or business analytics.
• Experience with data and analysis tools such as:
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups; macros/VBA a plus)
• SQL for querying and analyzing datasets
• Data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
• Familiarity with forecasting, inventory management, or capacity planning concepts.
• Exposure to ERP, MRP, or planning systems (e.g., SAP, Net Suite, Oracle, or similar).
• Ability to translate data into clear insights and actionable recommendations for technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Interest in aerospace, manufacturing, or high‑growth technology environments.

• Undergraduate: $35/hr
• Master's: $40/hr
