Job Overview:

We are seeking a Staff Accountant with approximately 5 years of accounting experience to join a growing team in Long Beach. The ideal candidate will have experience within the manufacturing or consumer products industry, a strong understanding of month-end close, and hands-on experience with Oracle. This role will support key accounting functions including fixed assets, accruals, and general ledger activities.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

+ Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules, including additions, disposals, and depreciation

+ Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies

+ Support general ledger accounting and ensure accuracy of financial data

+ Analyze financial results and assist with variance explanations

+ Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment

+ Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as needed

+ Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

+ 5+ years of accounting experience

+ Experience working in the manufacturing or consumer products industry

+ Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP

+ Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and fixed assets

+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Preferred:

+ Experience supporting audits

+ Experience in inventory or cost accounting environments
