Description

Robert Half is looking for a Tax Accountant to join our client! The Tax Accountant will file federal and state tax returns and work with financial and income tax statements, ensuring they comply with tax laws. Are you a deadline driven Tax Accountant with excellent organization and attention to detail? Then this may be the role for you!

- Ensure client compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations

- Participate in educational opportunities, professional organizations, networks, and read professional publications in order to stay up-to-date with tax changes and industry trends

- Develop solutions for complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings

- Prepare quarterly and annual tax reports, ensuring accuracy

- Oversee tax preparation work that is outsourced

- Guide management on the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws

- Determine legal tax savings and generate ways to improve profits

- Assemble tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database

Requirements - Creative thinking and problem-solving skills

- 2+ years of public or corporate tax

- Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required

- CPA highly preferred

- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Exceptional organizational skills

- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

- Exceptional time management skills preferred
