Senior Accountant

Long-term temporary with possibility of permanent hire

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a solid, established firm in Long Beach. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to take ownership of key accounting functions and contribute to a collaborative team. The ideal candidate has strong general ledger and month-end experience, is highly organized, and has prior leadership experience.

• Manage full-cycle accounting and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare and review month-end close processes
• Maintain general ledger accounts, including fixed assets and accruals
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and financial reports
• Assist with audits and compliance as needed
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management
• Communicate effectively across departments and with external partners

• Strong experience in general ledger and month-end close
• Solid knowledge of fixed assets, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
