Play & Learning Specialist (Behavior Technician / RBT)
At Soar Autism Center, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of children on the autism spectrum. Our care model draws from the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a fun and engaging, play‑based form of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Work one‑on‑one with children aged 2–6 in our clinic, using play to teach new skills and support growth.
- Implement therapy plans designed by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using play‑based ABA principles.
- Encourage social, communication, and learning skills through engaging activities and routines.
- Support and partner with families by sharing updates and celebrating progress.
- Participate in ongoing training and supervision to grow your skills and maintain RBT certification.
- Strong preference for enrollment in or completion of a degree program (bonus for Child Development, Psychology, or related fields).
- Excitement about working with children; prior experience with kids in any setting (teaching, child care, coaching, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification within the first 6 weeks of employment (Soar provides paid training).
- Note:
RBT certification required for the CO Springs location. - Reliable transportation to training location and local center; punctuality is essential.
- Physical requirements:
ability to sit or kneel on the floor, lift up to 50 lbs., and move quickly to support a child’s needs. - Comfort using computers and tablets for session notes.
- Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to learn.
- $21.50‑$28.50/hour starting pay with regular bonus and promotion opportunities.
- All staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion.
