Job Overview
We are seeking a part-time experienced OBGYN Sonographer to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sonography, particularly in obstetrics and gynecology, and demonstrate proficiency in various imaging modalities. As an OBGYN Sonographer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services, ensuring patient comfort and safety while delivering accurate results to support clinical decisions.
This position is part-time only with workdays on Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays
Duties- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations for obstetric and gynecological patients, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss findings and assist in the interpretation of diagnostic images.
- Maintain accurate patient records within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including Epic, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety and minimize infection risks.
- Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology, including MRI, CT, PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography, nuclear medicine, and X-ray.
- Educate patients regarding procedures and provide emotional support throughout the imaging process.
- Uphold compliance with health regulations and safety standards within the clinical environment.
- Participate in continuous education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in sonography and related fields.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology relevant to obstetrics and gynecology.
- Proficient in diagnostic radiology techniques and principles of anatomy and physiology.
- Strong understanding of various imaging modalities including MRI, CT, PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography, nuclear medicine, X-ray, and sonography.
- Experience with EMR systems such as Epic for efficient patient data management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a hospital setting while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
