Job Summary And Qualifications

Responsible for solid to expert knowledge of all Cath Lab procedures. Communicates and works independently in performing all special procedures on customers ranging in age from newborn to late adulthood. Prioritizes, provides, and promotes quality patient care to support the Mission, Vision, and Values of Sky Ridge Medical Center. Maintains and supports facility technical and documentation expectations consistent with JCAHO regulations and standards.

Positively reflects concern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, and employees. Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills to assume accountability for personal and team contributions. Must be willing to cross‑train to one or more additional modalities such as Special Procedures as required.

What qualifications you will need:

Licensure/Certification /Registration

Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license, or current registration as Registered Radiology Technologist (RTR), or current certification as Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or current certification as Registered Radiologist (ARRT). Current BCLS certification, current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association, or ALS certification from American Red Cross.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, or accredited RTR and/or RCIS training program.

Experience

2 years of experience in critical care nursing preferred (RN) or 2 years of experience in interventional radiology procedures (RTR) preferred or 2 years of experience in cardiovascular lab setting preferred (RCIS) or 2 years of experience as a Registered Radiographer (ARRT) preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Available to fulfill the department requirements of being on‑call for after‑hours emergency procedures and be within the required thirty‑minute response time.
  • Provides safe and appropriate patient care within the Standards of Nursing Practice at NSMC.
  • Displays appropriate judgment and problem‑solving skills.
  • Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
  • Has patient assessment knowledge and ability.
