Position Overview

Kiewit Industrial is looking for several Building Design Managers to join our Industrial team, to support overall building design execution and coordination of overall multi-discipline personnel supporting the project, including performance and development. This position is similar to a building Architectural or MEP design "project manager". In this role, you will be the primary interface with proposal and engineering project teams, supporting your assigned projects(s) from concept into execution, managing the contract, working in a highly matrixed environment.

You will drive estimating, productivity (schedule and quality) and monitor the project to ensure we will deliver on time and within budget for the overall building/facility into construction. If you have a diverse background managing Building projects in the Industrial sector, a strong technical foundation in architectural, mechanical, electrical and process engineering, with experience managing multi-discplined teams from design through construction, we want to talk with you.

Location

This role is can be based out of our Lone Tree, CO or Houston Texas office. We offer some flexibility for hybrid work out of those offices.

Responsibilities

* The individual is leading the building project team, along with being, the primary interface with project management, engineering discipline leads and other key stakeholders. The building project team encompasses architects, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and BIM designers.

* Set expectations, for producitivity, and quality, as well as management and ownership of project performance (productivity, quality, milestones, manhour budget, and schedule). Monitor project and team metrics;
On an as-needed identify underperformance early and implement recovery plans as soon as possible.

* Actively support project initiation and development in both the estimate and execution phases to ensure projects are set up for success.
