- Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft.
- Prepare work plans and work packages.
- Conduct quality inspections.
- Order and schedule material deliveries, including supplies.
- Assist in tasks such as field surveying, labor timesheets, and preparing JHA's.
- Document and communicate schedule progress and quantities to support 3‑week and 90‑day schedule updates.
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety trainings.
- Supervise field operations.
- Perform takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other contract documents.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations.
- Assist with entering data into the job cost system and reviewing cost reports with jobsite management.
- Maintain basic project record‑keeping and correspondence functions, including submittals, daily reports, photographs, RFCs, and memorandums.
- Generate change orders and as‑built data to be reviewed by the Project Manager.
- Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations.
- Review and analyze data relative to projects, incorporating various productions and costs in preparation of a bid.
- Complete plans and specification reviews for projects while assessing risk areas.
- Complete material and quantity takeoffs according to bid documents.
- Ability and willingness to travel and relocate to small and large cities as business requires.
- Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
- Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience preferred.
- Passion for safety, with the ability to help ensure that nobody gets hurt.
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time, including working rotating schedules, shift work, or weekend work as required by projects.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics, integrity, and initiative.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
- Strong time‑management ability and attention to detail.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to and from work.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely.
- Communicate and interact effectively with supervisors, employees, and others in a professional manner.
- Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, warning signs, equipment use, and policies.
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
- May work at various locations with conditions that vary.
Base Compensation: $85,500 – $94,500 (actual compensation is subject to variation based on education, experience, skill set, and/or location). The posting is active from 01/08/2026 to 01/31/2026.
