ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND – You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs.
This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. If you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.
You should engage by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you need to respond to our contact attempts to confirm your interest in working shifts. If you do not respond, your employment may be terminated. Additionally, if you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment may be administratively terminated.
Your communication and ability to work when our business demands it are critical to your success in this role. If offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. After that, the myTime app is where you can pick up the shifts you desire to work.

Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checkout, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

- Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
- Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; be familiar with all fulfillment services and how to direct guests to enroll, activate and use them.
- Explain how to use Wallet and other Target App features.
- Handle returns by following prompts and collaborating with leaders as needed to resolve guest issues adhering to Target policies.
- De-escalate situations with leadership support to recover the guest shopping experience.
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
- Work safely, comply with safety policies, report hazards, and correct where possible.
