As a Business Development Research Analyst, you'll research and analyze product and business opportunities, market size, risks and barriers, industry competition and acquisition trends. You'll collect and maintain information on requirements, organization, budget, and preferences of prospective customers and competitors and make recommendations to management regarding developments in market trends as they apply to our strategic business objectives.
The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4
ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.
** Responsibilities:
*** Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive strategies.
* Compile and analyze data on market conditions, customer preferences, and competitor behavior.
* Assist in developing business proposals, presentations, and strategic recommendations.
* Maintain and update databases of market intelligence and competitive information.
* Support the business development teams with actionable insights derived from data analysis.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align market analysis with business objectives.
* Monitor and report on industry developments and regulatory changes impacting the business.
* Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management review.
** Qualifications You Must Have:
*** Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field of study.
* 0-2 years of experience in market research, business analysis, or a related field.
* Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of related experience is required.
* Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
* Basic understanding of market research, understanding of key players in the industry around the globe.
* Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar.
** Qualifications We Prefer:
*** Exposure to Bloomberg, Gartner, Gov Win IQ, or other market research tools.
* Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
* Familiarity with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS).
* Proficiency in AI tools for research and analysis.
* Additional certifications in market research or data analysis.

* Essential Functions:
*** Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
* Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
* Regular use of hand/finger dexterity for typing and writing.
* Ability to travel as needed.
* Capability to work in an office or hybrid environment.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $71,338.47 - $98,090.40. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
