OverviewOperates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to Fed Ex features of service and provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area. Performs related customer service functions and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Deliver and pickup packages, checking shipments for conformance to Fed Ex service requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six (6) months of courier experience preferred.
- Demonstrated area knowledge.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record in accordance with federal motor carrier safety regulations.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and assistance.
- Good verbal communication skills and ability to understand traffic signs and comply with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
- Adaptability and dependability.
- Excellent courier methods and procedural knowledge.
- Strong ability to read and speak English for traffic and official communications.
- Neat and professional appearance required due to customer contact.
- Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations.
- Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
- Job is not covered as a safety‑sensitive position.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Starting Pay: $23.42 per hour.
Tuesday – Saturday, various hours.
