Employees work 9 out of every 14 days– totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off
- Manage a complex and strategic portfolio of work, providing business, contractual, and risk mitigation strategic guidance for DoD-related Commercial and CAS covered contracts from contract inception to contract close-out.
- Provide contractual support to business-critical areas including development and advancement of commercial and programmatic strategies, operational decision making, delivering proposal risk analysis and mitigation alternatives, and negotiation oversight.
- Potential to evolve into a managerial position, overseeing a team responsible for highly complex contract assignments, driving strategic initiatives and fostering professional development within that team.
- Apply contracts direction in contract formation activities, maximizing negotiated outcomes, and providing broad-based business judgment while monitoring compliance with government acquisition regulations.
- Participate in the proposal development process by identifying areas of risk and promoting innovative solutions to internal and external customers.
- Self-starter with high-level independent work capabilities and strong organizational and computer skills.
- Collaborate with Finance, Programs and Sales on new and continuing programs to ensure desired objectives and outcomes.
- Analyze new laws, regulations and contract trends for potential impact on business goals and objectives.
- Work with legal counsel to provide recommendations from a Contracts perspective on legal activities, intellectual property interests, disputes, claims, protests, and lawsuits.
- Ability to obtain a US security clearance.
- Understand US Government acquisition regulations, cost and price estimating concepts, Intellectual Property, and a working knowledge of FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 acquisition.
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of related experience in Contract Management and US Government Federal Acquisition Regulation. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of related experience.
