Site Assistant- Londonderry

Hours: Approximately 25-30 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM
Pay Rate: $16.03 per hour

Meals on Wheels of Rockingham County is seeking a Site Assistant to support our meal distribution program at a busy Meals on Wheels site. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, coordinating meal packaging and distribution, and assisting with on-site meal service for clients. The Site Assistant will work closely with the Site Manager and volunteers to ensure smooth operations and may occasionally step in to cover meal delivery routes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist with packaging meals for homebound individuals.
• Support the Site Manager with daily operations and fill in during short-term absences.
• Supervise and assist volunteers in meal preparation and cleanup.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and adherence to proper sanitation procedures.
• Serve lunch to clients at the center around noon.
• Occasionally fill in as a meal delivery driver as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Reliable vehicle and ability to pass a background check.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of safe food handling procedures is a plus (training available).
• Familiarity with driving directions and meal delivery logistics is helpful but not required.
• Competitive pay of $16.03 per hour.
• Mileage reimbursement –per mile (where applicable).
• Up to 20 hours per week with paid vacation and sick time accrual.
