About The Role

About The Role As a Precision Opto‑Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will turn detailed visual work instructions into high‑reliability electro‑mechanical and optical assemblies. You will report to a Supervisor/Manager and collaborate closely with inter‑company teammates across production and quality.

A day in the life

You begin in a clean, organized workspace, verifying ESD protections and reviewing visual aids. You set up your bench, select hand and power tools, and get to work on fine‑pitch soldering tasks, including shielded cable terminations and wires‑to‑host connections. Throughout the day you build to print, verify conformance against IPC‑610 workmanship standards, and document your results. You keep the area spotless, help a teammate troubleshoot a tricky assembly, and complete a complex build that demands sound judgment and patience.

Your craftsmanship directly influences product quality.

  • Apply quality procedures to ensure assemblies meet IPC‑610 workmanship and internal standards.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and ESD‑safe workstation and comply with clean‑room practices when required.
