Facilities Technician

Overview

Do you have the ability to work independently and self-manage, and stay on task until completion? Semi Gen has an opening for a Facilities Technician. Working on a small high-functioning team, this role will help impact customer satisfaction by meeting demands and paying attention to details for incoming and outgoing materials and products.

• Light maintenance and minor construction duties such as painting, fixing small repairs, patching holes, changing light bulbs and similar duties.
• Ensure operations and processing equipment is in good working condition by performing scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks. Training will be provided.
• Update the Maintenance database after tasks have been performed.
• Perform daily building walks to complete checklists. Training will be provided.
• Handle chemicals and Hazardous Waste throughout the facility as needed. Training will be provided.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, light snow removal and salting of employee traffic areas.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation
• Able to follow detailed instructions
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience with facilities-type equipment preferred (e.g., compressors, vacuum systems, water filters)
• Able to lift 50+ lbs regularly
• Familiar with the use of basic hand tools
• Must be able to accurately record data related to tasks performed
• Good communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office
