Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Support existing and transitioning electro-optic and mechanical assembly production lines.
- Engineering support for production builds in main area of responsibility.
- Backup for production needs. Work with and back fill as needed as a production resource.
- Maintain all current trainings of new and existing processes, policies and procedures.
- Act as a training resource for assigned production lines.
- Support time studies on production lines.
- Drive continuous improvement projects.
- Support root cause analysis for manufacturing and test.
- Responsible for daily support of production, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis of production test failures.
- Responsible for coordinating and transitioning new test platforms into manufacturing.
- Helps to determine and develop test methods of parts, assemblies, etc. to final products.
- Maintains documentation updates within area of responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating the standardization of test equipment.
- Estimates costs, labor standards, coupled with cost reduction activity in support of the Test department, as required.
- Implement various Manufacturing and Test procedures, as required.
- Maintain technical proficiency as a Manufacturing and Test support Engineer; training as required.
- Ensure an efficient, safe, and secure environment is maintained.
- Responsible for the quality and accuracy of your own work as well as the review of others.
- Drive continuous improvement projects.
- Develop and validate RF front-end architectures (matching networks, filters, LNAs, PAs, antenna interfaces) with strong focus on signal integrity, EMI/EMC control, and thermal management.
- Perform reverse engineering of existing PCBAs and RF systems to extract schematics, analyze architectures, characterize performance, and drive redesign, cost reduction, or technology upgrades.
Interfaces:
Company Management, purchasing, manufacturing personnel, Software Engineering, outside contract manufacturers, OEM, suppliers and customers, as required.
People Managed:
May provide project leadership or coordination.
Decisions:
Under minimal supervision, work alone or as part of a team making technical recommendations and decisions in support of various projects. Determines and develops approaches to improve productivity
Impact of Error:
Impact is on technical contributions to specific projects in different areas of Manufacturing activities. Will be simultaneously involved in multiple complex and critical projects with emphasis on timely implementations.
- Significant experience with Opto-electromechanical manufacturing and test processes and procedures.
- Microsoft Office software:
Word, Excel, and Power Point - Ability to conceptualize and solve complex problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communications both written and verbal.
- Solid Works for Mechanical design of fixtures
- IPC Certified.
- PCBA - troubleshooting
- Labview for test systems
BSEE or equivalent. 5-10 years of experience as a Support Engineer with emphasis on assembly of complex opto-electromechanical builds. Must be flexible and capable of operating with minimal supervision.

Requirements- Exceptional Team Member
- 5-10 years in an Engineering support role in highly regulated opto-electromechanical focused business.
- Strong Electromechanical and optical assembly troubleshooting experience.
- Microsoft Office software:
Word, Excel, and Power Point - Ability to conceptualize and solve complex problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communications both written and verbal.
