POSITION SUMMARYThe AR Deduction Analyst, Mega Food is responsible for accurate and timely tracking and processing of trade promotion claims, deductions, and disputes. Trade promotion actualization, matching sales adjustments with planned promotional events. The AR Deductions Analyst reports to the Mega Food Accounting Operations Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Accurate tracking, research, and timely resolution of customer deductions, chargebacks, and disputes, validating claims against contracts.
- Effective communication with internal and external teams on status and resolution.
- Preparation and entry of sales adjustments for retailers ensuring proper reason code and general ledger account assignment.
- Application and reconciliation of cash receipts ensuring AR ledger is current.
- Assist in implementation and maintenance of strong internal controls, ensuring accurate tracking of claims and timely resolution.
- Update SOPs to keep them current and apply chargeback expertise to identify enhancements.
- Provide detailed documentation and support to retailers to facilitate collection of monies owed, following up to collect invalid deductions.
The ideal candidate will have top-notch organizational and communication skills (written and verbal) while having advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with accounts receivable modules within ERP systems. The candidate must have strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.

- Customer service orientation.
- Demonstrated understanding of promotional concepts.
- Skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Minimum 3 years experience in deductions or charge‑back processing (CPG experience preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- ERP experience required;
Dynamics BC 365 a plus. - Self‑motivated with high attention to detail; owns processes and drives success to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- Understanding of Sales Trade Spend accounting.
- Logical reasoning, complex problem‑solving and analytical skill set.

SALARY RANGENational Target Base Pay Range: $53,000.00 - $88,000.00. For candidates in California and New York metro the Target Base Pay Range is $59,000 - $98,000.
