Goods-In Operative

We are looking for a bright individual to join our experienced Goods In team who is happy working in a very busy environment.

Goods-In Responsibilities:

• Ensure incoming deliveries are unloaded safely and pallets/packages match the delivery note before goods are signed for.
• Ensure all damages or missing packages are clearly marked on the delivery note.
• Ensure all delivery notes are passed to receiving admin for recording.
• Accurately check delivered products against delivery notes, ensuring all discrepancies are clearly marked and communicated to receiving admin so the supplier can be notified promptly.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised warehouse environment.
• Move checked stock to the shopfloor.

• Excellent communication skills, able to liaise confidently with internal departments and suppliers.
• A proactive individual who can quickly identify potential stock/supplier issues and take the necessary action..
• Excellent team-working skills to effectively collaborate with other members of the warehouse team and branch staff.
• Have a positive attitude towards internal departments within the business and improving internal inefficiencies.
• Previous experience in a goods-in role.
