Gully/Drainage Operative Position
Vector is currently seeking Gully/Drainage Operatives to join our client, a tier one main contractor, at their depot near Purley, Croydon. This will begin on a temporary basis with a view to permanent employment.
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will work in tandem with an HGV Driver as part of a two-person team. Your primary responsibility will be operating a vacuum hose and jetting equipment to clear roadside drains, ensuring they remain unblocked. This job is physically demanding due to the frequent lifting of drain covers.
Requirements- Previous experience within drainage or highways is desirable but not essential.
- Access to personal transportation, as the depot is not easily reachable via public transit.
- High Pressure Water Jetting (desirable).
- Monday to Friday – 50 hours per week
- Nights – 5 pm – 3:30 am (start and finish times may vary)
- Days – 6 am – 4 pm
- Nights – £16.25 per hour (PAYE)
- Days – £13 per hour
