We're working with a well-established, temperature-controlled freight forwarder based at Heathrow who is looking to appoint an experienced Billing Team Lead to oversee their air freight billing function.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong freight forwarding knowledge and hands‑on air freight billing experience who is ready to step into (or continue in) a leadership role within a specialist, fast‑paced environment.

You will be responsible for leading the billing function, ensuring all air freight shipments are invoiced accurately, efficiently, and in line with customer agreements. Working closely with operations, customs, and finance teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting revenue integrity.

• Overseeing daily air freight billing activities
• Ensuring accurate and timely invoicing of export and import shipments
• Checking job files for correct rates, charge codes, and cost allocations
• Supporting and supervising billing team members
• Resolving invoice queries and discrepancies
• Liaising with operations to ensure all revenue is captured
• Supporting month‑end processes and reporting
• Maintaining system accuracy and process improvements

• Essential:
  Freight forwarding experience
• Essential:
  Strong air freight billing experience
• Previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Knowledge of temperature‑controlled or time‑critical shipments (advantageous)
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Confident using freight systems and finance platforms
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced Heathrow environment
