Company Overview

Metrea delivers effects-as-a-service to national security partners across five domains and more than a dozen mission areas—including airborne ISR, electronic warfare, secure communications, aerial refueling, special mission aviation, aerial firefighting, and advanced simulation.

Wherever we operate, we build vertically integrated full stacks of capability—designing, building, and operating turnkey solutions that let customers scale capacity while benefiting from continuous cycles of innovation. With operators and engineers under one roof, we close the gap between lab and field—what we call connecting design with effect.

Metrea’s solutions are built for elegance: effective, efficient, and evolving. This approach enables our partners to do more with less and achieve outsized, asymmetric advantage against rapidly evolving threats.

Headquartered in Washington, DC, Metrea has facilities across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and beyond.

Position Summary

In this role, you will directly enable operational and mission readiness by ensuring critical aviation parts, equipment, and materials are available where and when they are needed—often in remote or austere environments. As a Logistics Specialist, you are a trusted operator responsible for the accuracy, movement, and accountability of high‑value, compliance‑sensitive materials supporting global operations. You will be successful if you can execute logistics with speed, discipline, and precision while navigating export controls, aviation regulations, and complex supply chains.

Your effectiveness is measured by aircraft availability, operational continuity, and the confidence others place in your judgment.

In This Role, You Will
  • Sustain mission readiness by facilitating the sourcing, procuring, and delivering of aviation parts, GSE, and consumables under demanding timelines
  • Operate as the logistics link between maintainers, program leadership, finance, and vendors
  • Facilitate global storage and logistics in compliance with FAA/EASA, customs, and ITAR requirements
  • Solve logistics challenges creatively in expeditionary and logistically constrained environments
You Will Be Successful If You
  • Take full ownership of inventory accuracy, accountability, and material visibility
  • Communicate clearly and decisively across cross‑functional teams
  • Protect sensitive information and operate with integrity and discretion
  • Build trust through collaboration, negotiation, and consistent execution
Must Have
  • Hazardous Materials Shipping Certification
  • 4+ years of experience in logistics or supply support roles within aviation, defense, or expeditionary operations
  • Demonstrated experience with procurement, inventory accountability, and international shipping
  • Ability to operate effectively in compliance‑driven, high‑risk environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Nice To Have
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of relevant logistics or aviation support experience
  • ERP experience, preferably Microsoft Dynamics D365
  • Experience supporting deployed, forward, or austere operations
