Multidrop Van Driver

Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for Delivery Van Drivers for our companies within UB postcode areas (Uxbridge / Greenford / Southall / Hayes / West Drayton etc).

ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS - SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED.

PAYE £13.75 to £16.55 per hour (inc. holiday pay). Guaranteed 8 hours pay a day. Overtime after 9+ hours (breaks are not paid). Day shifts, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends) start times between 5:30 and 8am.

• Multi-drop deliveries of high-end products (Cars/Vans, Catering Equipment, Plant and Tool hire Equipment, Alcohol) in and around the M25 and Central London
• Deliveries/collections to and from both customers and suppliers
• Preparing customer orders prior to dispatch and assist with loading and unloading items
• Secure loads using ratchet straps - must have experience!
• Some companies require constant heaving lifting for deliveries/collections! (lifting heavy items for a distant and up/down stairs)
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

• Valid UK CAT B manual licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN MS90)
• Age 25 years+ for insurance purposes
• Minimum 1 year experience as a commercial Van Driver/Multi-drop (references required)
• No more than 1 hour commute for you to travel to work
• Physically fit. Heavy lifting is involved
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
