As a train driver, you will have the opportunity to work on various locomotives: from our class 37s to state of art class 70s. You will be a key player to run our Freight services in the LNW North Region. You will be empowered to ensure a safe and reliable service operation of freight trains as a role model Train Driver offering a best in class service.

• Train Driver Experience with existing LNW North route knowledge. Merseyrail knowledge is useful, but is not essential for successful candidates.
• Ensure safety of the line and all employees and public that may be affected by the operation of trains.
• A clean safety record
• A current PTS (third rail) appropriate to CTRL
• A full UK driving licence
• Flexibility with working shift patterns.
• Ability to identify competency standards required as a result of legislation, operational standards and safety procedures and maintain same by audit and surveillance
