We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Transport Planner to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods across our network.

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday (05:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 18:00 & 10:00 to 20:00). We would be looking for the right candidate to be flexible in working all 3, when required.

Responsibilities
  • Route Planning:
    Design efficient delivery routes considering distance, traffic, and deadlines.
  • Driver Management:
    Manage and support drivers on a daily basis to ensure smooth operations.
  • Load Coordination:
    Ensure proper load distribution and vehicle capacity with warehouse staff.
  • Fleet Management:
    Oversee vehicle maintenance and utilisation.
  • Delivery Monitoring:
    Track progress and provide updates to customers.
  • Customer Service:
    Handle inquiries and ensure satisfaction.
  • Cost Management:
    Optimise resources and reduce operational costs.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    Ensure adherence to regulations and safety standards.
  • Data Analysis:
    Analyse performance data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration:

    Coordinate with warehouse, drivers, and other teams for smooth operations.
Qualifications
  • Experience in working within a busy transport operation.
  • Experience in planning multi drop groupage routes.
  • Knowledge of fleet operations and driver hours needed.
  • Flexibility with working hours and shifts is required.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach with a strong work ethic.
  • A commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
